Make two shots feel connected.
Keep the shared details, decide how one shot ends and the next begins, then test that pair before building the rest of the scene.

A small handoff to plan
This doorway example is a proposed shot plan, not generated footage.
A hand reaches a brass door handle. End with the hand resting on it, the sleeve visible, and the handle still level.
Begin with that same hand, sleeve and handle position. The hand turns the handle and the door opens into the room.
Review the hand, handle and direction at the actual cut. If the join is rough, an insert of the hinge or room detail may bridge it. A continuous room or rain track can help the sound feel connected.
1. Keep the shared details unchanged
Reuse the same concise character or subject description. Record wardrobe, props, location, light and movement direction separately from each shot's action.
Check the controls your actual tool exposes. Google documents reference-image and first/last-frame controls for Veo 3.1, with model and person-generation limits; an interface may expose a different subset. Read Google's current Veo documentation →
2. Write the end-to-start handoff
Give each shot one main action and one clear camera instruction. Match the relevant pose, prop state and direction at the handoff. Use each tool's supported request length.
If your generator supports a starting image, a clean final frame from A can guide B's start. Inspect it first: a distorted frame can carry the defect forward. Reusing a frame or description still requires output review.
3. Review the moving pair in your editor
- Compare character appearance, wardrobe, props, lighting and screen direction across the cut.
- Watch the complete moving shots. Check hands, contact, geometry and any changing details.
- Review dialogue, voice and background sound separately. Keep useful sound continuous where it fits.
- Decide whether to keep the pair, trim the cut, use an insert, revise a shot, or stop. Count creative rejects in your budget.
Your edits stay in this page until you download them. Reloading or closing can lose them. Nothing here sends your notes or starts a generation.
Use the plan with your chosen tool
Our free character prompt builder can organize a fictional adult character's text description and scene instructions. Copy useful text manually and adapt the request length to your generator.
SeedanceCheap video generation has separate funding terms. Check whether introductory trials are currently enabled, your account is eligible, and the selected model is accepting requests before generating or buying credits. Face/person image references and input-video continuation are unsupported; text-only characters can drift.
